Taylor Swift.. my idol
Recently I have realized how all of the Taylor Swift songs, in some sort of way, relate to my life very well. Every song makes me think of recent drama, boys, dance, friends, rumors. Everything. High school and Taylor Swift are sooooo much in common. I spend every silent minute of my life memorizing her songs. I know everyone by heart and I love every single one of them!

I can be Courageous...
Courage is a big thing.
It can help you conquer anything in the world.
Courage is having the ability to stand up for what you believe in!
Courage is also sticking up for yourself and others that mean something to you.
The Lion in the Wizard of Oz receives courage and then is able to stand up for what he thinks is right.
Anyone can have courage if they really want it.

In One Week
In One Week--
I'll be driving to ALHS at 5:50 AM
I'll be leaving Albert Lea at 6:15 AM
I'll be on the coach bus headed towards Lakeville
I'll be reviewing and reviewing the moves like NEVER before
I'll be pulling up to Lakeville High School
I'll be lugging around all my bags and walking up to our room
I'll be sitting and applying all of the 10 pounds of makeup we wear
I'll be going to 'mark time'
I'll be changing into my highkick outfit
I'll be...
dancing.

Lead By Example.
Being a 15 year old, a sophomore, a 2nd year danceteam member, and a BIG sister to two, I have a lot to be a leader for. My sisters are the people who look up to me the most and to me that means that whatever I do I need to be a good leader for them and help to lead them so they make the good decisions that I have. The "rookies" on danceteam this year also need a good leader. Even though we have captains, I try to be a leader and do ALL of the things correct and try to give a ton of feedback to the girls so they know how hard you have work! There are many ways for older kids to lead by example and make the right decisions.

Diagnosis: Unknown.
Since Tuesday the 16th I have had swollen glands, over-sized tonssils, massive headaches, and great amounts of fatigue. I have gone to the doctor twice.. first she told me that I had swollen tonssils-- I already knew that! Thank you CAPTAIN OBVIOUS! She gave me numbing syrup. The 2nd time I went to the doctor was because the pain along with my swolleness had gotten 10x worse and the numbing syrup no longer took the pain away. He told me that if the strep test was negative then to just wait it out and rest. Greeeeeeeat!!!! He gave me 30 penecillin pills. I STILL do not have any idea as to why I am in so much pain buuuuut, hopefully I will soon be a million times better!

Relay For Life*
I believe that everybody needs a little bit of hope in their lives.
When I think of the word it brings me back to the Relay For Life event that is held during the summer to remember those who have survived or died from cancer. The Relay For Life symbolizes hope in so many ways. One very obvious thing is the fact that they take luminaries and spell out the word HOPE in big letters in the grandstands so that everyone who drives by or walks by can see it. People who have cancer hope and hope everyday that their sickness will end and that they will be healthy again. Family members of people who have cancer HOPE for the same exact thing to happen!
Walking around and seeing all of the luminaries lit up with someone's name on it is very powerful! You never really know how many people have to hope and pray to get better until you go to something like the Relay For Life.

B&B (:
So there's this place in Albert Lea, MN and it's a breakfast place just like.. hmmm Perkins? kinda! I personally think that it is the best place ever to go and sit down and eat your breakfast. My friends and I go there ALL THE TIME and got chocolate chip pancakes with whip cream. Mmmmmm (: It so good! Sometimes we'll go before school just because we can! It's sooo worth it to get up like a half an hour earlier and go eat there! Anyway.. I went there this morning with one of my bestfriends Bailey and we sat there and took our time eating our delicious pancake for about 2 hours! We had a sleepover the night before and to wake up and go eat that probably made my whole entire weekend! Ha! That's pretty much everything!!!..

Adaptation!
Adaptation is a process where something or someone becomes suited or used to its habitat. This could take awhile or not a lot of time at all! Adaptation could be something bad too.
In the book "Night" there are a TON of examples of how the people become adapted to all the negative things that happen in the concentration camps. Watching someone die in front of your face and then you being okay with it and not doing anything to help them not get killed or not helping them survive shocks me. But I suppose the Jews were so used to seeing death everyday that the only thing they could concentrate on was keeping themselves alive and healthy.
Animals can also adapt to their surroundings! For instance if its cold outside the migrate or hibernate to a warmer place and until it starts to warm up again. Or some birds have bigger beaks but other birds around the world could have smaller beaks because of the different uses of their beaks.

Humans vs. Animals
No single, difference separates human beings from other animals. For example, like humans, apes have well formed thinking. Their ways to start an argument, stay on a train of thought, draw conclusions and make guesses is very similar to how we do it too. Also like humans, apes have a certain language. Their vocabulary is HUGE, their grammar is complex, and their conversations are can get deep just like ours. The apes' ability to identify letters in writing has not been proved yet so were not sure how well they can read compared to humans. There was once an orangutan who argued that apes had evolved from humans, not the other way around. Apes also (again, like humans) have a goal in life. Apes also have a refined sense. They admire beauty and want to surround themselves with it. When an ape cultivates a garden, puts flowers in a vase, or hangs up a painting, what is it doing if not expressing a love of beauty? The sense of humor shared by all apes is another proof of their close resemblance to humans. Their love of a good laugh is plain from the popular ape jokes they tell.

Busy busy weekend!!!
This weekend was extremely busy for me and my family!! My dad's sister got married... and I got confirmed!!! Tons and tons of planning!! Saturday night I had a Confirmation dinner where I had to read my faith statement in front of my whole confirmation class and all of there parents! I was the one that had to go first because I had to get to a wedding and watch my aunt get married.. It was a lot of fun though!! Once we got to the wedding it was pretty much half over then the dance started and that was a blast!!!! We stayed in Rochester for the wedding until 12:30 then had to drive all the way back to Albert Lea to go home. The next morning (Sunday) I got up at 8:30 to get beautified for my big confirmation day!! Our church service went very well but it was kinda long.. I took a TON of pictures with my confirmation class and the pastors. After church we went to Perkins and ate an amazing lunch!!!

Beauty!
Beauty is a characteristic of a person, animal, place, object, or idea that gives an experience of pleasure, meaning, or satisfaction. Beauty can be studied as part of aesthetics, sociology, social psychology, and culture. One way you can look at beauty is an entity which is admired, or it can make you want to look a certain way as a sign of perfection.
The experience of "beauty" often involves the feelings of attraction and emotional well-being. It is often said that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Beauty may engender a good experience of positive reflection about the meaning of one's own existence. A subject of beauty is anything that goes along with that person.
The classical Greek meaning for beauty was "being around one's hour".
A ripe fruit was considered beautiful, or a young woman trying to appear older or an older woman trying to appear younger would not be considered beautiful. In Attic Greek beautiful meant "youthful" and "ripe old age."

Scaaaaary!
Yesterday I was with my friends and we were going to go to the movie Paranormal Activity 2 but then one of our friends couldn't go.. so we decided that we were just going to go today instead!! Let me tell you.. that movie is SCARY!!! By the end of the movie I was curled up in a ball with my face in my knees and my hands covering my face. I had tears in my eyes because I almost couldn't handle it!! One of the girls that was sitting behind me said, "That's it. I can't take it..I need to go!" It was veeeerrrry scary!!!! My friend Makenna started crying during the same part that I teared up. Since we were all sooooo scared, we all went over to Marisa's house and decided that we would have a big sleepover so that we wouldn't have to sleep alone at are own houses. So now as I'm typing this I'm sitting with my girls and listening to music thinking about how terrifying the movie Paranormal Activity 2 was. It was REALLY goooood though!! I'll probably...most definitely watch it again (:

MEA... get at me.
This is probably a bad thing that I want school to be over with already!! But I feel like I neeeeeeeeed a break from school and I am overly excited for MEA break. I'm going to a hockey game Thursday and then a wedding on Saturday! How much better can that get?? Yeaaaah, that's what I thought. It can't. So what is MEA break all about anyway?? I always wondered why we got out, or what it stands for. Some stores have MEA break sales because they know that a ton of people travel. I think the farthest I've traveled during MEA is Rochester... and that was 2 years ago. Most likely all break I'll sleep.. or maybe play Call Of Duty and Halo with Eric! I tend to do that a lot. I want MEA to come really fast and for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to fly by! I think for the most part it will. Even tomorrow (Monday) we get to have a 60 minute advisement which means we get out of class and have shortened classes to get to listen to speakers about how they got over being addicted to drugs and alcohol. This week I'm kinda thinking will be easy and fast.. I'll let ya know (:

Freedom!
Freedom is simply about reaching inside and finding the real you. The real you that longs to be free from any inner critic or nagging worries. That part of you that knows there is something more, something better. Maybe you have an inner voice that tells you in a ton of ways that "you are not good enough" or"you are not acceptable" or "you are not perfect" or"you are not successful" or, maybe it's such a busy critic that says all of those things. The feeling of freedom, of joy; the experience of being in the right place at the right time. Or like walking barefoot in the grass.. its all freedom. Freedom really isnt worth having unless it includes the freedom to make mistakes. You have the freedom of whatever you choose to do, just not the freedom of the consequences of your actions. People that deny freedom for others really shouldnt even get freedom themselves. Freedom isn't just passed down through generations... it has to be fought for, protected, and handed on so the same thing can be done. Freedom is whatever you make it.

Today is Sunday. Yesterday was Saturday. and Tomorrow is Monday..
Tomorrow is Monday, which means I go back to school.
This weekend has been very relaxing and low-maintenence!!
Saturday I literally slept all day! I woke up at 8:15 AM to go eat pancakes for Cross-Country,
then went home and fell asleep at 10:17 AM.
I then woke up at 7:00 PM that night.
Today I had to get up and go to church at 8:30 AM
and confirmation at 9:45 where I wrote my whole faith statement in 20 minutes.
Usually Sundays are what my friends and I call "No Shower Sundays"..
but unfortunately I took a shower this morning because I never got around to taking one yesterday,
Saturday.
All day I've been on Facebook, writing my J-10 report, and blogging.
I played Sims 3 and Guitar Hero II for A LONG TIME too!!!
Tomorrow I have to get up at 6:37 AM and I'm not exactly looking forward to that!
My school day usually goes by pretty fast which is nice, I just don't like getting up early.
Tomorrow I'm going to the C-Squad football game with my mom and two sisters.
My dad is the coach... fun family time!
This kinda turned into a story, haha! Not supposed to happen (:
It's whatever!!
Have a GREEEEEAAAT week!! (:

What In The World...
Justice.. does the time fit the crime?
In some cases yes, but for most celebrities no.
There are a lot if sitiuations where celebrities get out of there punishment easy just because of who they are.
For instance, a regular joe would definitely have to spend time in jail if they killed somebody,
but I'm not so sure that that applies for others.
Giving everybody the same punishment no matter who they are would be fair justice.
It's almost frustrating. Justice could be a good or bad thing too!
Justice could always benefit you also.
Giving the person the correct punishment for whatever they did is what the key is.
You don't want a murderer walking on the streets with probation when he should be in jail.

Homecoming week here I come!!
Homecoming week is coming at ALHS head-on starting tomorrow! We get to start the week off with a western day and then Monday night we get to have Coronation where we find out the King and Queen of 2010 Homecoming. I don't think I will be participating in western day for two reasons! One: I have no cowboy boots or a cowboy hat.. that's a problem! and Two: I don't really have an interest in western themes or anything like that so it might not be all that great for me anyway! Tuesday is Celebrity Day!!! I'm dressing up to be Demi Lovato. I'm not exactly sure how that will work out but all I know is that's what's happening (: Then on Wednesday it's Wacky Wednesday. I won't be participating in this day either because also Tuesday afternoon we have our Homecoming pep-fest and since I'm part of the danceteam I have to wear what we are performing in that day! Thursday is Say Yes To The Dress Day.. this means that everybody, yes EVERYBODY, wears a dress to school. I think I am most excited for this day because I want to see how many boys actually come to school wearing a dress!! Then finally Friday is Cherry&Blue Day!! Later that night is our Homecoming game against Mankato West and I REALLY REALLY hope that we play good. There's nothing like winning at your own homecoming game! (:

Hey, Can You Turn That DOWWWWWN?!?!?!
Loud,
There's a lot of things that could describe this word.
For instance music-- Whenever I listen to music I have to have it at a volume where I here nothing else around me except the music. Sometimes that means its very loud, but not loud enough to blow the speakers!! ..or also its just loud enough for me to hear it but without blowing up my ear drums.
Instruments-- Different instruments have different loudnesses (I think). The trumpet and saxophones seem to always be loud and always hearable no matter what! ..but the flute on the other hand is not very loud while performing with a band but by itself it has the potential to be as loud as you want it to be.
Colors- some colors are louder than others. Like the color yellow, compared to brown.. yellow is very loud and stands out. To me any flourescent color is loud. Hot pink, yellow, orange, lime green, aqua. I think you get what I'm saying (:
People- There are quiet people and loud people. I happen to be a loud person who always has something to say and laughs at a lot of things also. Loud people, I think tend to cause more attention to themselves because.. well because they're loud!! Most of my friends are loud and abnoxious but that's just how loud people are, abnoxious.

Madison, Wisconson
This weekend I went to Madison, Wisconsin with Abby and her mom. We got there super late Friday night so we didn't do anything too exciting the first day. But then on Saturday we went to the HUGE Farmer's Market that goes around the capital in a square!!!! We also walked down State Street which is the street that connects the Capital on one end and the University on the other end. There was a TON of people that were there and it was very hard to walk in and out of shops without getting lost. Later that day we went out to eat at a fancy restaurant called Francesca's al Lago (it's Italian food). After we ate we walked over to the Overture Centre of the Arts where Wicked the Musical was being shown! The ceiling of the Overture was green which I thought was very sweet! (: The seats that we had were absolutely amazing! We were smack-dab in the middle of the stage at a height where you could see everything and yet you weren't high up AT ALL! The singing and acting in Wicked is by far the best thing I have ever seen or heard. My favorite part of the WHOLE musical was when they sang "Defying Gravity" because it looks like she's floating in mid-air! This musical is truly amazing and made me want to cry. Then the next morning we all got up and went to Willy Street to go see a parade where everyone was wearing stilts! It was one of the craziest things I have ever seen! That is pretty much what my weekend consisted of. I had a ton of fun and I wish I could go back!!

What Friendship Is..
The most important thing to me that you need in friendship would be honesty.. It you can't be honest and say the truth to your friends then what's the point of having trustworthy friends? Without friends I think life would be very boring because for one thing I would have no one to hang out with!! Respecting your friends is also a big thing to me. Disrespecting your friends is a mean thing to do and pretty much a waste of time. The only time I ever say anything rude to my friends is when we are all messing around with each other. I only have a few very close friends that I can trust and tell everything to, that's probably because we've been around each other for a long time. I have a lot of friends but like I said only 3 or 4 that I can respect and trust because I know that's how they treat me.

Crazy cold TEMPERATURES!
Well, what can I say? I made it through the freezing cold weekend!!
I thought that fall was supposed to have its own temperatures.. not the same temperatures as winter??
This weekend I had 2 dance team practices outside when it was probably 40 degrees out..
One at 8 AM and another at 12 PM.. running and conditioning in that is not good for the throat.
Haha, I wouldn't be surprised if I started catching a cold or something :)
This weekend I also went to the Renaissance Festival in Shakopee.
At first it was VERY COLD and great for jackets!!!
...But then, it got somewhat warm. Weather is too confusing!
I never knew how huge the Renaissance place actually was.. it's crazy.
That's pretty much all my weekend consisted of,
Being in the cold outdoors!!!
